Long conversations
I’ve always listened
At any cost i kept the roof on
Cleaned all the dishes
So attentive
Believed in you
When you couldn’t see your greatest
I felt we had a future
So close to having a child
Yet i wasn’t finished raising
To many promises
I was degraded
The only thing i drowned in was tears
That you created
No one knew the facts of how
I loved and hated
Rules never did apply
You’ve always lied
I couldn’t run fast enough
To say goodbye

The difference between a
boy and a man
The strength it takes to
Love someone who will never understand
