Pecan trees

By:shelbi henny

Kissed by a snake
I’ve cried in oceans of red wine
Listening to love songs cry
Leaning on forbidden fruit
I wish that you could see me fall apart
So unfamiliar
Only the strong survives
I only want to feel the breeze
Dangling leaves
That carry me to hide
In moth trees
Subconsciously aware
That taste and motion
Leaves me open to despair
Coiling under mass
That subscribes a suicide
I lay my heart into your hands
Invisible to see the truth
In every word you say
Promises led me here
Were fairytales begin
To afraid to descend
Beyond a light that sparkles
In sycamore trees
Butterflies hidden in branches
Climbing higher
To reach
Fruitful indiscretion
